Overview

Built for accounts with rules

Titan Prop is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed for traders operating under proprietary-firm evaluation and funded-account rules. It combines a low-frequency trend module and a mean-reversion module across EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY with an account-level risk layer that treats the firm's limits as hard boundaries rather than suggestions. The strategy side is intentionally conservative: the goal is steady, rule-compliant participation, not maximum return.

The risk layer comes first

Before any strategy logic runs, Titan checks the account against the limits you configure: maximum daily loss as a percentage of the day's starting balance or equity, maximum overall drawdown from the initial balance or from the high-water mark, and an optional maximum number of open positions across all charts. If a new trade could breach any limit even in a worst case where every open stop is hit, the trade is not placed. When realised plus floating losses approach the daily limit by a configurable margin, Titan closes all positions it manages and locks trading until the next trading day begins at your firm's reset time. Buffer margins default to 20 percent of each limit because slippage and spread widening can push a loss past the level where a stop was placed.

Two strategy modules

The trend module trades H4 pullbacks in the direction of a daily moving-average slope, holding for one to five days with an ATR trailing stop. The mean-reversion module trades H1 extremes back toward a volume-weighted average during the London and New York overlap, holding for a few hours with a fixed stop and target. Each module can be enabled per symbol, has its own magic number and reports its contribution separately on the chart panel, so you can switch one off without affecting the other.

Consistency features

Many firms review lot-size consistency and reject accounts where a single trade dominates the result. Titan uses the same equity-percentage risk on every trade, caps the lot size relative to the account and can enforce a minimum spacing between entries. A trading-day tracker on the panel counts days on which at least one position was opened, so you can see progress toward a minimum-days requirement. A news blackout closes or blocks trades for a configurable window around high-impact events, and a weekend-flat option closes everything before the Friday cut-off you specify.

Included files and presets

You receive the compiled .ex5, three presets named after common rule shapes (5 percent daily / 10 percent overall, 4 percent daily / 8 percent overall, and a funded-account preset with tighter buffers), the tester configuration used for the sample backtest, and a PDF that maps each input to the type of rule it addresses. The PDF explicitly notes that rule sets differ between firms and change over time, and that you must check your own agreement.

Plain statement of limits

Titan Prop does not guarantee that you will pass an evaluation, keep a funded account or make money. It enforces limits on the trader's side; a firm's server measures its own limits and may include swaps, commissions or floating losses differently. The sample data below comes from a tester and a demo account and is labelled accordingly.

Features

  • Daily loss and overall drawdown limits enforced before any trade is placed
  • Worst-case check: new trades are blocked if all open stops being hit would breach a limit
  • Automatic close-all and trading lock when losses approach the daily limit
  • Trend and mean-reversion modules with separate magic numbers and per-symbol toggles
  • Consistent equity-percentage sizing with a lot cap and minimum entry spacing
  • Trading-day tracker, news blackout and optional weekend-flat close
  • Three presets shaped around common evaluation rule sets
  • Multi-account license covering evaluation, funded and demo accounts

Requirements

  • MetaTrader 5 build 4620 or later; hedging account recommended so both modules can hold positions on the same symbol.
  • EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY available with spreads typical of an ECN or prop-firm feed.
  • Minimum recommended balance: USD 5,000 or the evaluation account size; the presets assume 0.5 percent risk per trade.
  • VPS strongly recommended so the daily lock and news blackout are always active.
  • Your firm's daily reset time and time zone, entered in the inputs.

Broker and build compatibility

  • MT5MetaTrader 5Build 4620 and later

Accounts: Standard, Prop firm, Demo supported

Tested on hedging accounts at ECN brokers and on evaluation feeds from three prop-firm platforms. Netting accounts work with a single module enabled per symbol. Requires the broker's calendar feed for the news blackout.

Installation

  1. Download and extract the archive from your account. It contains TitanProp.ex5, a presets folder and the PDF guide.
  2. In MetaTrader 5 choose File > Open Data Folder, open MQL5/Experts and copy TitanProp.ex5 into it.
  3. Copy the .set files into MQL5/Presets.
  4. Restart the terminal and confirm the expert appears in the Navigator.
  5. Enable Algo Trading on the toolbar and allow automated trading in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
  6. Attach TitanProp to one chart per symbol you want to trade (H1 recommended), ticking Allow Algo Trading each time.
  7. On each chart load the preset matching your rule set, enter the firm's reset time, your account's starting balance and your license email.
  8. Verify that every chart panel shows the same daily and overall limits and that the Experts tab confirms the shared risk state has synchronised across charts.

Questions

Does Titan Prop also protect trades from my other EAs?

Only partially. Its close-all action can optionally include positions from other magic numbers, but the pre-trade worst-case check only applies to trades Titan itself places. For account-wide enforcement across manual and third-party trades, pair it with Vector Risk Panel.

Will it guarantee I stay within my firm's rules?

No. It enforces the limits you configure using the account data MetaTrader reports, with a safety buffer. Gaps, slippage, disconnection and differences in how your firm calculates losses can still cause a breach. Read your agreement and keep the buffers.

Can I run it on more than one evaluation at once?

The license allows three activations, so you can run it on up to three accounts simultaneously, for example one evaluation, one funded account and one demo.

Support

Meridian Trading Tools supports Titan Prop through marketplace tickets, typically within one business day for setup questions. When asking about a rule mapping, include the firm's published rule text and your preset so the team can confirm the correct inputs. Meridian does not provide advice on choosing a firm.

Risk

Trading carries risk

Trading leveraged instruments can lead to the loss of your entire evaluation fee or account balance. Titan Prop reduces the chance of breaching configured limits but cannot prevent breaches caused by gaps, slippage, disconnection, or differences between the EA's calculation and your firm's. Proprietary-firm rules vary and change; you are responsible for configuring the EA to match your agreement. Sample performance shown here is tester and demo output, labelled as sample data, and is not a guarantee of any outcome.

Trading foreign exchange, metals, indices and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Past performance, backtests and demo results do not guarantee future results. Automated trading software can lose money quickly, especially with leverage. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose, test every tool on a demo account first, and seek independent financial advice if you are unsure. Nothing on this website is investment advice.
