Stock index CFDs such as US500, NAS100 and GER40 trade on different hours, tick sizes and margin rules than currency pairs, so a tool must explicitly support them. Index prices gap at the cash-market open, spreads widen outside exchange hours, and contract specifications vary by broker more than for forex. The utilities in this category, mainly risk panels and news filters, treat indices as first-class symbols and read the contract size from the terminal rather than assuming a forex lot. Verify your broker's symbol suffix and trading hours before attaching any tool to an index chart.
